Few people imagine that, in our land of Galicia, there existed a celebration that was much older than the famous American Halloween. This festival had Celtic roots and was also known as the day of the faithful dead or Samaín, which means the “end of the summer”. It was celebrated thousands of years ago across the whole of the Celtic territory, on the night of 31 October to 1 November.

The best music on board, a menu created especially for the occasion, and the best costumes await you on the night of the 31st of October. Undoubtedly the best choice for going out in Vigo on Halloween, the most terrifyingly fun night of the year.

Festivals in the Vigo Estuary: Bouzas fireworks. The Vigo municipality of Bouzas, in the middle of the Vigo estuary, celebrates its traditional festival in honour of the Christ of the Afflicted.

This festival has been declared of tourist interest by the Xunta de Galicia. Don’t miss out on the Bouzas Fireworks and enjoy them on board! Its terraces and streets are filled with people, there is outdoor music, games and events for both children and adults alike. You can enjoy different orchestras and local music groups. It is one of the most famous celebrations in the Olive City, and it is not to be missed.

The tourist capital of Rías Baixas is, without a doubt, Sanxenxo. At the end of the summer (between 24th August and 5th September) its festivities are held – which have the spectacular Sanxenxo Fireworks as their culmination.

The fireworks in Sanxenxo are capable of enchanting both adults and children, it is the beautiful fleeting performance which is impossible to miss each year. But if you don’t want to miss out either, you should book in advance and enjoy the cascade of lights that will light up the sky of Sanxenxo at midnight.
